Each year I provide a complete Success Report of every hunter who hunted with me so you can call the
  unsuccessful ones as well as the ones who got the big one. Names are listed in order of arrival at camp. When you
  call them, please be brief to respect their privacy.
  Archery Elk & Deer:
  Tim Stocker, NM (505)824-3617 Bugled a 6 point bull in to 70 yards. Had a 38 yard shot at a big bull but waited too
  long.
  Paul Kinberg, WA (425)271-3683 Paul & his brother, John, were unguided. Paul passed up a 10 yard shot at a 5 point
  bull. Got into some other bugling bulls, but wind shifted or cows spotted them or just bad luck.
  Jim Bauder, WY (307)857-2569 Elk and Deer tags. Had a big six-point bull bugling. Not close enough. Saw some
  Whopper bucks, but didn't get a shot.
  Jim Windham, FL (561)798-2708 Elk and Deer tags. Had several bulls bugling but could never get a shot. Was 30 yards
  from a bull, just a half step from killing it. Saw some great bucks but couldn't get close enough.
  Rifle Deer:
  Jim Windham, Fl (561)798-2708 Jim saw 28 bucks. Passed an old 28 incher "too far from horses". Jim saw a whopper
  35 inch buck, an absolute monster, heavy beamed. His bolt was stuck shut from a pine needle wedged in it. Couldn't
  chamber a round. Jim killed a 24 inch buck on the last afternoon of his hunt.
  Shannon Williams, CA (707)485-0109 Killed a heavy high 27 inch buck. B&C 182. Saw some other great bucks.
  Brian Ingram, CA (707)485-7403 Saw some great bucks including a 33 incher, a 34 inch non-typical, and one that
  would score about 200 B&C. No shot.
  Brad Ingram, CA (707)485-7880 Missed a 33 inch buck, long shot. Saw huge typical, too far. Killed a 7X6
  non-typical.
  Justin Ingram, CA (707)485-7880 Killed a nice 24 inch buck on "Desperation Mountain". Also saw some other great
  bucks.
  Brett Ingram, CA (707)485-7783 Missed a monster non-typical at 50 yards. Had been using his scope on high power
  to look at a distant buck, forgot to turn it back down. This buck trotted across in front of the horses, he bailed off, couldn't
  find it in his scope, so threw a wild shot at it. Tough luck! 34 inches, at least 10 long cheater points on left side. A real
  heartbreaker.
  Bob Silva, Jr CA (707)769-1464 Killed a 31 inch 6X6. Tremendous buck!
  Tony Wachter, AZ (480)982-1074 Saw more than 20 bucks but the largest was about 26 inches.
  Bob & Floryce Silva CA ((707)739-0140 Bob killed a beautiful 26 inch buck, scored 180 B&C. Floryce killed a
  beautiful high 5X5. Walt Silva, CA (707)838-8608 Killed a small 5X5 "mistake" buck. Shot at a "big" buck. It fell, but
  tree-branch "antlers" didn't. (sorry no pictures available at printing time).
  Rich Fordyce, AZ (520)779-9921 Saw quite a few bucks but nothing over about 25 inches.
  Ron Anderson, OR (541)567-2820 Killed a whopper of a buck. 27 inches, very heavy beams, scored 182 B&C
  Bill Diebert, PA (570)682-9800 Passed up a beautiful 27 inch high-racked buck. Later wished he had that shot back.
  Also saw a very heavy 26 incher.
  Robert Henneke, TX (409)732-2143 "Digger" (he's an undertaker) killed a really nice 25 inch buck. It tumbled down a
  300 foot cliff. Spectacular fall!
  Dan McCarty, OR (541)376-8157 Passed up some average bucks.
  Jim Davis, UT (801)785-6265 Saw several bucks including a nice 26 incher. Didn't find the one he wanted.
  Bill Frazier, WA (509)877-3120 Missed a 28 inch buck, 140 yards. Missed a 34 inch buck, long shot. Killed a nice
  26 inch buck on the last day in a hell-hole.
  Mike & Joan Frawley, AZ (480)595-9661 They saw several bucks. Joan passed up a "really nice buck".
  John Barten, TX (409)732-8210 One of the nicest guys you will ever meet, but his body is wearing out. Only hunted 2
  days.
  Kevin Frazier, WA (509)848-3459 Missed a 34 inch buck. Killed a nice 25 inch buck in a rough rugged canyon.
  Jimmy Jaynes, TX (409)732-2896 Passed up 26 inch non-typ. Misjudged it. Passed up other bucks looking for a
  whopper. Saw one but couldn't get a shot.
  Frank Wojtek, TX (281)633-9261 Passed up a nice 25 inch buck on the first day. Killed a great 26 inch 8X7
  non-typical on the last day.
  Mark Barten, TX (409)732-5634 Missed a nice non-typical, 300 yards into the sun, walking fast. Tough shot. Had a
  tough hunt.
  Leo Derderian, VA (703)759-3908 Killed a nice 4X4 buck. His first mule deer.
  Ray Bartels, TX (409)732-3042 Saw some bucks but didn't get a shot.
  Ray Hansen, SD (605)642-5295 Passed up a 25 and a 26" buck. Hunted 3 days.
  Boyce Hall, GA ((706)274-3515 Hot & dry, didn't see a lot of bucks.
  Ken Woodson, AL (334)867-7494 Ken spotted a 30 inch buck in its bed. Guide Grant and his hunting partner, Glynn
  Ralls, AL (334)578-9831, made a drive to him but the buck wouldn't get up so Glynn killed the 30 inch buck in its bed.
  Gary Bettinelli, CA (408)735-8336 and Jim Cassarotti, CA (510)783-9514 Jim hurt his ankle from a horse falling on
  him. Hampered their hunt. Only hunted two days, then left.
  Tracy Armour, GA (706)274-3208 Tracy killed a 23 inch buck. His first mule deer.
  Sherman Hart, TX (512)452-1532 Missed two bucks, one a 27 incher. Saw some other bucks. Only hunted 3 days.
  "Had a great time, again."
  Darrell Turner, CA (707)765-9676 Killed great 32 inch buck. Also shot at a 27 incher.
  Barry Blanton, IN (765)457-9658 Missed a 30 inch buck, 275 yards. Saw a huge 26 inch, heavy & high.
  Larry Blanton, IN (765)457-9658 Missed 5 shots at a nice buck.
  Richard Kerri, CA (925)443-4255 Saw several bucks, didn't get one.
  Rich Kerri, Sr, CA (530)644-4136 Killed a tremendous 28 inch 8X8 buck.
  John Carlton, NY (607)753-0746 Saw a lot of deer, few bucks.
  Stanley Gibson, CA (925)447-4523 Killed a 26 inch heavy-beamed buck. Missed two other bucks, one of them heavy
  and high.
  Moose: John Heikkenen (218)722-5604 John was looking for a big one. Killed a small bull by mistake.
  Elk Hunt: Great hunt! Lots of success.
  Bernard Lopez, CA (925)254-0519 Killed a huge 6X6, 250 yard shot. Stephen Lopez, CA (925)283-7097 Killed a
  spike on opening day.
  Paul Bayne, WY Killed a cow elk on opening morning.
  Rick Demeester, MI (734)464-2949 Killed a cow elk the first morning.
  Jim Windham, FL (561)798-2708 Killed a spike. Ambushed him in an "elk jungle". Saw a lot of elk, including some
  good bulls
  Jim McCandless, MI (517)687-5841 Had a 60 yard shot at a bull but couldn't get steady enough. Then killed a nice 5
  pointer down in a canyon. It took 11 long shots.
  Richard & Nikki Wall, TN (931)294-5262 Richard killed a nice 6X5 bull right off the trail on the first day. Just how
  every guide likes it! Nikki had lots of chances and missed shots at different bulls but just couldn't kill one.
  Ron & Lynne Randall, CA (530)676-3227 Ron saw a big herd of 40 elk, including some big bulls. Finally killed a huge
  6 point bull in a high basin. Lynne was on her first rifle hunt. She had several chances at elk and some shots but didn't get
  one.
  Phil Wachli, OR (541)567-6929 Killed a huge 5 point bull with a great shot on the first morning of his hunt. One of the
  biggest bodied bulls we've ever killed.
  Idaho Elk Hunt: A great hunt for those who don't draw a permit in Wyoming. 5 hunters killed 4 bulls.
  Gene Quinn, FL (352)371-6486 Missed a 50 yard shot at a 5 point bull (safety on gun jammed, then hurried the shot).
  Killed a big 6 point bull opening morning. Saw a lot of elk.
  Dan Walkup, FL (352)591-1955 Killed a nice 6X5 bull late afternoon of opening day.
  Don & Ralph Barrett, FL (352)380-9723 Don killed a dandy 5X5 bull at 300 yards on the third day. Had a good hunt
  and an exciting kill. Ralph was in great shape and hunted hard, but the elk always zigged when he zagged. They just
  wouldn't cooperate.
  Bob Traylor, NC (704)843-5083 Killed a 4 point bull in some heavy timber after a long hard run to ambush him. A huge
  6 pointer was with him, but didn't get a shot at it.
