Ron Oman killed this Boone and Crockett Moose in 1997 just a
couple of miles above camp. It was fighting with another moose when he
nailed it.

Ken Brown killed this 40 inch spread moose in 2001 with one shot at about 100 yards. Guide Aaron Johnson and I urged him to pass it up and wait for the 50 incher that was in the area. Ken insisted "I want THAT moose!" Click here to view full size. |

Mike Grisedale killed this moose just a mile above camp. He and guide Mike Day played a dirty trick on us. We were hunting farther up the trail and Mike knew we would be coming down after dark, so he hung a piece of bloody moose hide in a tree right on the trail and spooked the bejeebers out of our horses.
